{$} கரவுஇன்றி நல் மாமலர் (1) கொண்டு
with big and defectless flowers, and without deceit.
இரவும் பகலும் தொழுவார்கள் சிரம் ஒன்றிய செஞ்சடையான் வாழ்
the place where the god of red caṭai, who is on the heads of those who worship him night and day, dwells.
வரம் மாமயிலாடு துறையே
is the superior and great mayilāṭutuṟai

{$} குரவம் சுரபுன்னையும் வன்னிமருவும் மயிலாடுதுறை
mayilāṭutuṟai where bottle-flower trees, curapuṉṉai trees (Long-leaved two-sepalled gamboge) and indian mesquit trees, grow.
உரவெங்கரியின் உரிபோர்த்த பரமன் உறையும் பதி என்பர்
people say that it is the place where the supreme Civaṉ who covered himself with the skin of a strong and cruel elephant, dwells

{$} ஊனத்து இருள் நீங்கிடவேண்டில்
(People of this world!) if you want to be free from aṇavam, the impurity which causes blemish.
தேன் ஒத்து இனியான் அமரும் சேர்வான(ம்) மயிலாடுதுறையே ஞானப்பொருள்கொண்டு அடிபேணும்
cherish with love the feet with spiritual wisdom mayilāṭutuṟai which is the place of Civaṉ who is as sweet as honey (to devotees)

{$} அஞ்சு ஒண்புலனும் அவை செற்ற மஞ்சன் மயிலாடுதுறையே நெஞ்சு ஒன்றி நினைந்து எழுவார்மேல் பிணியாயின
the diseases which are with those who wake up from sleep and meditate upon on mayilāṭutuṟai which is the place of the strong youth who controlled the five clever sense perceptions.
துஞ்சும்
will die.

{$} பிணி ஆயினதீர்த்து அருள் செய்யும் மணியான் தணி ஆர்மதி செஞ்சடையான்தன் மயிலாடுதுறை அணி ஆர்ந்தவருக்கு அருள் என்றும் (உளதாம்)
there will always be the grace to those who have approached mayilāṭutuṟai which is the place of Civaṉ of red caṭai on which there is a cool crescent, and who is like a ruby, which grants its grace curing diseases

when many brahmins chant the vetams from old times.
வண்டு ஆர் மயிலாடுதுறையே
mayilāṭutuṟai where bees hum as if opposed to it.
தொண்டர் இசைபாடியும் கூடிக்கண்டு துதிசெய்பவன் ஊர்ஆம்
is the place of Civaṉ who is praised by devotees who see him by singing music and gathering there
[[the humming of the bees is compared to the sound produced when brahmins chant the vētams;
PP: போது பிணிவிட்ட கமழ் நறும்பொய்கைத், தாது உண் தும்பிபோது முரன்றாங்கி, ஓதல் அந்தணம் வேதம் பாட

{$} நுணங்கும் புரிநூலர்கள் கூடிவணங்கும் மயிலாடுதுறையே
mayilāṭutuṟai where the brahmins wearing moving sacred thread of three strands, join together in worship.
அணங்கோடு ஒருபாகம் அமர்ந்து இணங்கி அருள் செய்தவன் ஊர்ஆம்
is the place of Civaṉ who bestows his grace by being united with the divine lady on one half.

{$} சிரம்கையினில் ஏந்தி
holding a skull in the hand.
இரந்த பரம்கொள் பரமேட்டி
the god who is in an exalted place which is superior to all others, and who begged alms.
அரக்கன் அரங்க வரையால் வலிசெற்ற, வரம்கொள் மயிலாடுதுறையே
mayilāṭutuṟai is the eminent place of Civaṉ (peramētti) who destroyed the strength of the arakkaṉ to suffer, by the mountain.

{$} ஞாலத்தை நுகர்ந்தவன்(தான்) உம் கோலத்து அயனும் அறியாத சீலத்தவன் ஊர்
the place of Civaṉ whose nature could not be known by the beautiful Ayaṉ (Piramaṉ) and Māl who swallowed the earth.
சிலர் கூடி மாலைத்தீர் மயிலாடுதுறையே
is mayiḷātutuṟai where some devotees join together and remove their confusion.

{$} நின்று உண் சமணும் நெடுந்தேரர் ஒன்றும் அறியாமை உயர்ந்த வென்றி (1) அருளான் அவன் ஊராம்
the place of Civaṉ who cause victory by his grace and who is great so that the camaṇar who eat standing and the tall tēvar (buddhists) know nothing about him.
மன்றல் மயிலாடுதுறையே
is mayilāṭutuṟai where there is always sweet fragrance.

{$} நயர் காழியுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன்
ñāṉacampantaṉ who was born in Kaḻi where people of good qualities reside.
மயல்தீர் மயிலாடுதுறைமேல் செயலால் உரைசெய்தனபத்தும் இவை உற்று உணர்வார்க்கு உயர்வு ஆம்
those who understand clearly the ten verses composed with the grace of god on mayilāṭutuṟai which removes delusion of mind will rise to eminence.
