by the words which are mentioned in the Vētams and Ākamams.
அரை ஆர் விரி கோவண ஆடை, நரை ஆர் விடை ஊர்தி நயந்தான் விரை ஆர்பொழில் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை உணர்வார்
those who realise the greatness of vīḻimiḻalai which has fragrant gardens and which is the abode of Civaṉ who desired the vehicle of a bull and a broad loin-cloth worn on the waist.
உயர்வார்
will become superior persons.
[[(வீழி(ம்)மிழலை ம் is an augmentation for rhythm. This will apply to the following ten verses.]]

{$} புனைதல்புரி புன்சடை தன்மேல் கணைதல் ஒரு கங்கை கரந்தான்
Civaṉ concealed on his ruddy caṭai decorated (with flowers) Kaṅkai which descended roaring.
வினை இல்லவர் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை
viḻimiḻalai where persons of spiritual wisdom who are without Karmams live.
நினைவு இல்லவர் நெஞ்சமும் நெஞ்சே
can the minds of those who do not think of that shrine be called minds?

{$} அழவல்லவர் ஆடியும்
those who weep out of ecstasy and dance.
பாடி எழவல்லவர்
fall on the ground singing and then get up
எந்தை அடிமேல் விழவல்லவர் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை தொழவல்லவர் நல்லவர் தொண்டே
who can fall at the feet of our father and who can worship vīḻimiḻalai where such devotees live are really good people in their service to Civaṉ.

{$} உரவம் புரி புன்சடை தன்மேல், அரை அரவம் ஆர்த்த அழகன்
the beautiful Civaṉ who tied on his strong caṭai and waist, cobras.
விரவும் பொழில்சூழ் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை பரவும் அடியார் அடியாரே
those serfs who praise vīḻimiḻalai surrounded by gardens of different trees are truly devotees.

{$} கரிது ஆகிய நஞ்சு அணி கண்டன்
Civaṉ has a neck which is beautiful by the black poison.
வரிதாகிய வண்டுஅறை கொன்றை விரிதார் பொழில் வீழி(ம்) மிழலை உரிதா நினைவார் உயர்வாரே
those who meditate upon viḻimiḻalai as of right with gardens which puts forth blossomed garlands of koṉṟai on which bees which have lines on their bodies hum noisily, are really great people.

{$} சடை ஆர்பிறையான்
Civaṉ wears a crescent on his caṭai.
சரிபூதப்படையான்
has an army of pūtam which move about everywhere.
கொடிமேலது ஓர் பைங்கண் விடையான்
has a bull with tender eyes on his flag.
உறைவீழி(ம்) மிழலை அடைவார் அடியார் அவர்(தாம், ஏ)
those who reach vīḻimiḻalai where he dwells, are really devotees.

{$} செறி ஆர்கழலும் சிலம்பு(உம்) ஆர்க்க, நெறிஆர் குழலாளொடு நின்றான்
Civaṉ stood with a lady of curly tresses of hair, for the tight fitting Kaḻal and anklet to make a big sound
[[உம் should be added to சிலம்பு also.]]
வெறிஆர்பொழில் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை, அறிவார் அவலம் அறியாரே
those who meditate upon vīḻimiḻalai which has fragrant gardens, do not know sufferings.

{$} உளையா வலி ஒல்க அரக்கன் வளையாவிரல் ஊன்றிய மைந்தன்
the strong god who pressed down the straight toe to make the arakkaṉ to suffer pain and to reduce his strength. which did not know defeat before.
விளைஆர்வயல் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை அளையாவருவார் அடியார்
those who enjoy vīḻimiḻalai which has fields with produce and come there on pilgrimage, are devotees.

{$} இருவர் மயல் ஆக மருள் செய்து
Māl and Piramaṉ to get confused out of ignorance.
அருள் செய்தவன், ஆர் அழல் ஆகி வெருள் செய்தவன்
Civaṉ granted his grace after frightening them assuming a form of great fire.
வீழி(ம்) மிழலை தெகுள் செய்தவர் தீவினை தேய்வே
the sins of those who clearly realise the greatness of vīḻimiḻalai, will diminish gradually.

{$} துளங்கும் நெறியார் அவர் தொன்மை வளம் கொள்ளன்மின் புல் அமண்தேரை
caman and tēr (buddhists) have no steady and fixed doctrines; therefore do not accept their teachings though they are old.
விளங்கும் பொழில் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை உளங்கொள்பவர் தம்வினை ஓய்வே
the Karmams of those who fix their thoughts on vīḻimiḻalai which has thriving gardens, will come to an end.

{$} நளிர் காழியுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன்
Ñāṉacampantaṉ who lives in cool Kāḻi.
மிளிர் ஆர்பொழில் வீழி(ம்)மிழலை, குளிர் ஆர்சடையான் அடி கூறக்கிளர் பாடல் வல்லார்க்கு இலைகேடு
there will be no ruin for those who can recite the exalted songs as they praise the feet of Civaṉ who has a cool caṭai and who dwells in Vīḻimiḻalai which has gleaming gardens.
