{$} அடல் ஏறு அமரும் கொடி அண்ணல்
the eminent god on whose banner the form of a strong bull is drawn.
மடல் ஆர் குழலாளொடு மன்னும், கடல் ஆர் புடை சூழ்தரு காழி, தொடர்வார் அவர் தூநெறியாரே
Those who meditate upon Kāḻi surrounded on one side by the sea where he stays permanently with a lady having tresses adorned with petals of flower, are treading the blemishless path.

{$} திரை ஆர் புனல் சூடிய செல்வன்
the god who bore the water (of Kaṅkai) having waves.
வரையார் மகளோடு மகிழ்ந்தான்
who rejoiced in the company of the daughter of the mountain.
கரைஆர் புனல்சூழ்தரு காழி, நிரை ஆர் மலர்தூவுமின்
people of this world! please strew flowers which has rows of petals, on Kāḻi which is surrounded by water which does not overflow the banks.

{$} இடி ஆர் குரல் ஏறு உடை(ய) எந்தை
our father who has a bull which bellows like the roar of thunder.
துடி ஆர் இடையாளொடு துன்னும் கடிஆர் பொழில் சூழ்தரு காழி, அடியார் அவலம் அறியார்
the devotees in Kāḻi which is surrounded by fragrant parks and where the god is united with a lady whose waist resembles the middle portion of the small drum, will not know what is affliction.

{$} ஒளிஆர் விடம் உண்ட ஒருவன்
the unequalled one who drank the colourful poison.
அளி ஆர்குழல் மங்கையொடு அன்பாய்க், களி ஆர் பொழில்சூழ் தரு காழி (அது) கண்டவர் இன்பு எளிதாம்
It is easy for those who visit Kāḻi which is surrounded by parks and where the god is happy with love in the company of a young lady on who tresses the bees hum to derive joy

{$} பனிஆர்மலர் ஆர்தருபாதன்
the god whose feet are like the cool (lotus) flower.
உமையோடு முயங்கி (யும்) முனிதான்
he is definitely the sage though he is united with Umai.
கனி ஆர்பொழில் சூழ்தரு காழிஅது கண்டவர் ஈடு இனிது ஆம்
The might (State) of those who have visited Kāḻi which is surrounded by fruit-gardens is good.

{$} கொலை ஆர்தரும் கூற்றம் உதைத்து, மலையான் மகளோடும் மகிழ்ந்தான்
the god was happy with the daughter of the mountain and kicked the god of death who indulges in killing.
கலையார் தொழுது ஏத்திய காழி, தலையால் தொழுவார் தலையாரே
those who worship Kaḻi which was worshipped and praised by people who had mastered arts, are definitely people of the first rank.

{$} திருவார் சிலையால் எயில் எய்து
having shot an arrow from the bow of golden Meru.
உரு ஆர் உமையோடு உடன் ஆனான்
the god combined with Umai of beautiful form.
கருஆர் பொழில் சூழ்தருகாழி, மருவாதவர் வான் மருவார்
Those who do not reach Kāḻi surrounded by dark parks will not reach heaven (Civaṉ's world)

{$} அரக்கன் வலி ஒல்க அடர்த்து
Having pressed down to diminish the might of Arakkaṉ.
வரைக்கும் மகளோடு மகிழ்ந்தான்
the god rejoiced in the company of the daughter of the mountain.
சுரக்கும் புனல் சூழ்தரு காழி நினைந்து நிரக்கும் மலர் தூவும்
people of this world! strew flowers in rows thinking about Kāḻi which is surrounded by gushing water.

{$} இருவர்க்கு எரியாது நிமிர்ந்தான்
the god shot up as a column of fire to be searched by the two (Māl and Piramaṉ)
உருவில் பெரியாளொடு சேரும், கருநற் பரவை கமழ்காழி, மருவவினைமாய்ந்து பிரியும்
all sins will vanish and be destroyed if one reaches Kāḻi where the god is united with the beautiful Periyanāyaki and where the good and blue sea is issuing its fragrance.

{$} சமண்சாக்கியர்தாம் அலர் தூற்ற உமையோடுடன் அன்பாய் அமைந்தான்
the god was seated with love in company with Umai, for the camaṇar and cākkiyar to spread calumny.
கமழ்ந்து ஆர்பொழில் சூழ்தரு காழி, சுமந்தார் மலர் தூவுதல் தொண்டே
Those who meditate upon Kāḻi surrounded by fragrant parks; if they strew flowers, that is service to god.

{$} நலம் ஆகிய ஞானசம்பந்தன், கலம் ஆர் கடல் சூழ்தருகாழி, நிலையாக நினைந்தவர் பாடல், வலம் ஆனவர் வான் அடைவார்
Those who are able to recite the verses on the god who has as his permanent abode Kāḻi surrounded by the sea on which ships are moving, by Ñāṉacampantar of great virtues, will reach heaven.
