{$} கணை நீடு எரிமால் அரவம் வரை வில்லா
utilising the arrow which was formed by the combination of fire which rises upwards and Māl, and Vācuki, the serpent, and the Mēru mountain as bow.
எயில் மூன்றும் எரித்த இறைவர்
god who burnt all the three forts.

Civaṉ, a capable person, who has a caṭai.
முதிராமதிசூடி
and wearing a crescent.
விடைஆர் கொடி ஒன்று உடை எந்தை விமலன்
is our father, the spotless one who has a flag on which the form of a bull is drawn.
கிடை ஆர் ஒலி ஒத்து அரவத்து இசை கிள்ளை அடை ஆர்பொழில் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai which has gardens which are reached parrots which repeat the sound of reciting the vetam by bands of disciples learnt by rote.

{$} ஊரும் அரவம் சடைமேல் உறவைத்துப், பாரும் பலிகொண்டு ஒலிபாடும் பரமர்
the supreme god who sings songs receiving alms in the world, having placed on his caṭai a crawling cobra.
நீர் உண்கயலும் வயல் வாளை வராலோடு ஆரும்புனல் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai where in the water of the fields the carp which drinks water, scabbard and murrel are found in abundance.

{$} பிறையும் அரவும் உறவைத்த முடிமேல் நறை உண்டு எழுவன்னியும் மன்னு சடையார்
Civaṉ who has on his caṭai leaves of indian mesquit of good fragrance, which is on the head on which are placed the crescent and the cobra close to each other.
மறையும் பல வேதியர் ஓத ஒலிசென்று அறையும் புனல் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai of abundant water, where the sound of the vētams which are chanted by many vētiyar (brahmins) spread and make a big sound.

{$} நீடும் புனல் கங்கையும் முடிமேல் தங்க, கூடும்மலையாள் ஒருபாகம் அமர்ந்தார்
Civaṉ who kept on one half the daughter of the mountain who joined him, when the Kaṅkai of plentiful water stays on the head

மாடு(ம்) முழவம் அதிர(ம்) மடமாதர் ஆடும்பதி அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai where the young ladies dance to the accompaniment of muḻavu which is played on a high pitch, near them.

Civaṉ who has a divine body on which holy ash is sumptuously smeared.
ஊனம் இலார் பால் ஊறு ஆர்சுவை ஆகிய உம்பர் பெருமான்
the chief of the celestials, who is the sweet nectar which is the cause for the mouth to water, in people who have no defects.
வேறு ஆர் ஆகிலும் மிகு சந்தனம் உந்தி ஆறு ஆர்வயல் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai which has a river which irrigates the fields pushing the eagle-wood logs separated from the trees and superior sandal-woods.

{$} செடி ஆர்தலையில் பலிகொண்டு இனிது உண்டபடியார் பரமன், பரமேட்டி
Civaṉ who is in the most exalted place and the supreme being and who has the nature of eating with pleasure the alms which he received in the skull which has the stench of flesh.
தன் சீரைக்கடியார் மலரும் புனல் தூவி நின்று ஏத்தும் அடியார் தொழும் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai where the devotees praise his fame by scattering fragrant flowers and sprinkling water.

Civaṉ has a neck conspicious by the poison stationed there.

படத்து ஆர் அரவம் விரவும் சடை ஆதி
is the origin of all things on whose caṭai cobras with hoods are in combination with other things.
கொடித்தேர் இலங்கைக்கோன்வரை ஆர அடர்ந்தார் அருள் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai who granted his grace after pressing down under the mountain the King of ilaṅkai who had a chariot adorned with flags.

{$} மலர்மேல் அயனும் நெடு மாலும் பிணங்கி வணங்கி அறிகின்றிலர் பெருமை
auaṉ who is seated on a (lotus) flower and tall Māl being at Variance with each other, could not know his greatness, by bowing before him.
சுணங்கும் முகத்தம் முலையாள் ஒருபாகம் அணங்கும் (1) நிகழ் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையார்
is in aṉpil ālantuṟai where many divine phenomena occur, having on one half a lady with breasts on whose surface there are spreading yellow spots.

buddhists who cover their bodies with yellow robes called cīVaram.

are in a bad state and do not know things in the proper way about Civaṉ.
நித்தல் வெறிஆர் மலர்கொண்டு அடிவீழும் வரை அறிவாரவர் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறையாரே
Civaṉ who is in aṉpil ālantuṟai will recognize those who fall at his feet scattering fragrant flowers daily (and will grant their wishes)

those who are able to sing with music the ten tamiḻ verses which have the purpose of praising Civaṉ and were composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ in kaḻi where people who do not with hold what they can give, live.
போய் வானிடைவிரவு ஆகுவார்
mix with the tēvar in heaven, going there after death.
