ஊர்உலாவு பலிகொண்டு
receiving alms wandering in the villages,
உலகுஏத்த
to be praised by the people of this world,
நீர்உலாவு நிமிர்புன்சடை அண்ணல்
the chief who has a caṭai of golden colour and which is erect and on which the water (of the Kaṅkai) is wandering.
சீர் உலாவு மறையோர் நறையூரில் சேரும் சீத்தீச்சரம் சென்றுஅடை
reach the temple, citticcaram which is in naṟaiyur which has a population of brahmins of spreading fame, going to that place

காடும் நாடும் கலக்கப் பலி நண்ணி
approaching for alms to make the forest and the country to be combined in them.
ஓடுகங்கை ஒளிர் புன்சடைதாழ
the golden caṭai on which the flowing Kaṅkai shines to be hanging.
(1) ஆகம் வீடும் மறையோர் நறையூரில்
in naṟaiyūr where brahmins who leave the body which is the result of past Karmams and attain bliss.
நீடும் சித்தீச்சரம் நினை
think of citticcaram which has been in existence since time immemorial.

கனகம் அழல்மேனி புல்கு கங்கை புரி புன்சடையான் ஊர்
the place of Civaṉ who has a golden, caṭai to which is attached the river, Kaṅkai, and who has a body which is like gold and fire.
கல்வியாளர் மல்குதிங்கட் பொழில்சூழ் நறையூரில்
in naṟaiyūr surrounded by gardens on which the moon rests and where educated people are prosperous.
செல்வர் சித்தீச்சரம் சென்று அடை
reach citticcaram of the Lord by going there.

பாடல் வண்டுபயிலும் நறையூரில் சேடர் சித்தீச்சரமே
citticcaram is the place of the great god in naṟaiyūr where humming bees are found in big swarms.
நீடவல்ல நிமிர்புன்சடைதாழ ஆடவல்ல அடிகள் இடம் ஆகும்
and is the place of the god who is able to dance when the golden caṭai which is and grows longer, hangs low.

உம்பராலும் உலகின்னவராலும் தம் பெருமை அளத்தற்கு அரியான் ஊர்
the place of Civaṉ whose greatness could not be measured by the celestials and the people of this world.
[[The celestials are immersed in enjoyment of pleasures and makes them forget god and think only of their greatness, as spiritual impurities hide their mental eye. The people of this world are bound by spiritual impurities and are full of ego and therefore cannot know god.]]
நண்பு உலாவு மறையோர் நறையூரில் செம்பொன் சித்தீச்சரமே தெளி
be clear about citticcaram of the pure gold (god) in naṟaiyūr where brahmins who are friendly towards all, dwell.

கூர் உலாவு படையான்
Civaṉ has the weapon of a trident which is sharp.
போர் உலாவு மழுவான்
and who has a battle axe which moves about in battles.
அனல் ஆடி
and who dances in the fire.
பேர் உலாவுபெருமான் இடம் ஆம்
is the place of the god whose fame spreads everywhere.

அன்றிநின்ற அவுணர் புரம் எய்த வென்றிவில்லி
the victorious archer who shot an arrow on the cities of the avuṇar who were inimical towards him.
விமலன் விரும்பும் ஊர்
the place which the blemishless Civaṉ desires.
(1) மன்றில் வாசம் மணம் ஆர் நறையூரில் சித்தீச்சரமே
is citticcaram in naṟaiyūr when the village halls are full of fragrance.
சென்று தெளி

the place desired by Civaṉ who by his toe pressed to crush by the mountain, the conceit of the arakaṉ to be destroyed.
பரக்கும் கீர்த்தி உடையார் நறையூரில் திருக்கொள் சித்தீச்சரமே
is citticcaram in naṟaiyūr which has wealth and where brahmins of spreading fame dwell.

ஆழியானும் அலரின் உறைவானும்
Māl who has a discus and Piramaṉ who dwells in a (lotus) flower.
ஊழிநாடி உணரார்திரிந்து மேல் சூழம் நேட
to search for civan for a very long time and could not known him, wandering in the sky and surrounding places and seeking for him.
எரிஆம் ஒருவன் சீர்நீழல் சித்தீச்சரமே நினை
think of citticcaram of Civaṉ who assumed the form of fire and which is under the shade of his greatness.

{$} மெய்இல் மாசர் விரிநுண் (1) துகில் இலார் கையில் உண்டு கழறும் உரை கொள்ளேல்
do not accept the abusing words of amaṇar of dirty bodies, who do not wear fine and long cloth and who eat their food from their hands.
உய்யவேண்டில் இறைவன் நறையூரில் சித்தீச்சரமே செய்யும் தவம் (இடம்) ஆம்
Citticcaram in Naṟaiyūr of Civaṉ is the place for doing penance, if one wants to save himself.

about citticcaram in naṟaiyūr where brahmins lead a life without telling lies, and which is the place of Civaṉ having supernatural powers and capable of performing miracles.
உயர்காழி அத்தன் பாதம் அணி ஞானசம்பந்தன்
composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ who adorns on his head the feet of the father (Civaṉ) in superior kāḻi.
பத்தும் பாடப்பறையும் பாவமே
sins will vanish by degrees if one sings the ten songs.
