திவிதலம் மலி சுரர் அசுரர்கள் ஒலி சலசல கடல் கடைவுழி மிகுகொலைமலிவிடம் எழ
when the poison which can kill people on a large scale, rose as the celestials crowded in heaven and acurar churned the ocean for the sound cala-cala to be produced

Civaṉ who wears according to tradition the cobras of cruel poison in the several parts of the body such as hands etc.
அடல்வலி மிகுபுலி அதள் உடையவன்
has a dress of the skin of a tiger which has strength capable of killing.
இரவலர் துயர் கெடுவகை நினை இமையவர் புரம் எழில் பெற வளர் மரம் (1) நிகர் கொடை மனிதர்கள் பயில் மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரம(ஏ)
is the supreme god who dwells with desire in maṟaivaṉam where people who are liberal as the Kaṟpakam tree which grows with beauty in the city of the celestials who do not wink, and who think of removing the distress of the supplicants.

Civaṉ has a beautiful body in which the daughter of the mountain on whose breasts the ornaments are resting, dwells with pleasure.
முழையினில் மிகுதுயில் உறும் அரி முசிவொடும் எழமுளரியொடுஎழு, கழைநுகர்தரு கரி இரிதரு கயிலையில் மலைபவன்
he dwells happily in Kayilai where the elephants that feed upon the growing bamboos along with lotus flowers flee in helter-skelter when the lions which are in sound sleep in the caves wake up with fatigue, in search of prey.

Civaṉ has a caṭai coiled into a crown in which are concealed the crescent, a cobra with hood, Kaṅkai, the celestial river, many buds of datura flowers, laughing skull, and flowers of the holy koṉṟai which are extremely beautiful.
மிகுதலம் நிலவிய மனிதர்களொடு தவம் முயல்தரு முனிவர்கள் தம் மலம் அறுவகை மனம் நினைதரு மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன் (ஏ)

the Lord of all souls who comes riding on a great bull.
பலகலை(அவை) முறை முறை உணர்விதி அறிதருநெறி அமர் முனிகணனொடு
along with the groups of sages who tread the path ordained in the scriptures and who learnt many arts in the proper manner.
மிகுதவம் முயல் தரும் (1) அதி நிபுணர்கள் வழிபட வளர் மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன் (ஏ)
is the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam which is flourishing and where the great experts try to perform severe penance.

{$} கறைமலிதிரிசிகைபடை, அடல் கனல் மழு, எழுதரவெறிமறி, முறைமுறை ஒலிதமருகம், முடைதலை, முகிழ் மலிகணி, வடமுகம், உறை தருகரன்
Civaṉ holds in his hands, a trident of three blades which have the stains of blood, a battle-axe which is in the form of fire and capable of inflicting pain, a young deer of frightened looks which seems to jump off the hand, a sharp pick-axe resembling a bud, the fire in the form of mare's head, a drum tapering in the middle like the form of an hour glass which is producing sound in an order, and a skull from which the stench of flesh is issuing.
உலகினில் உயர் ஒளிபெறுவகை நினைவொடுமலர் மறையவன் மறை வழிபடு மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன் (ஏ)
is the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where the brahmin (Piramaṉ) who is seated in a (lotus) flower worshipped Civaṉ according to rules laid down in the Vētam-s in order to attain great celebrity in this world.

வியன் இடை முழுவதும் கெட
as the extensive space is completely destroyed.
இருவர்கள் உடல் பொறையொடு எழில் உரு உடையவன்
Civaṉ who has a beautiful form wanders carrying the burden of the bodies of both Māḷ and Piramaṉ when they also perish.

is the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where the bees with six legs which sit on the bunches of flowers hum like music.

{$} சனம் வெருவுறவரு தசமுகன் ஒருபது முடியொடும் இருபது கனம் மருவியபுயம் நெரிவகை கழல் அடியில் ஓர்விரல் நிறுவினன்
Civaṉ fixed a single toe of the foot wearing Kaḻal in order to crush the weighty twenty shoulders and ten heads of Tacamukaṉ who came upon people to make them frightened.
இனம் மலிகணம் நிசிசரன் மகிழ்வுற அருள் செய்த கருணையன் என மனம் மகிழ்வொடு மறை முறை உணர் மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன்(ஏ)

in such a manner that the husband of the goddess of wealth who is seated in a beautiful flower, and Ayaṉ could not know him.

as Civaṉ grew taking the form of a round and solid mass of fire.
அவர் வெருவுறலொடு துதிசெய்து (1)பணியுற
when they paid homage praising him out of fear.
வெளி உருவிய பரன்(அவன்)
the supreme god who appeared before them going beyond the sky piercing it.
நுரைமலி கடல் திரள் எழும் மணிவளர் ஒளிவெயில் மிகுதரு மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன்(ஏ)
is the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where the light emitted by the coral is like the sun rays, which is produced in clusters in the sea which is full of foam.

இனம் மயில் இறகு உறு தழையொடு

செயல் மருவிய சிறுகடம் முடி அடைகையர்
and holding in the hand a network of ropes for placing the small pitcher of the ascetics, which has fine workmanship.
தலைபறி செய்து தவம் முயல்பவர்
camaṇar who try to perform penance having plucked the hairs of the head.
துவர்படம் உடல் பொதிபவர் அறிவருபரன் (அவன்)
the supreme god who could not be known also be the buddhist who cover their bodies with a robe soaked in red ochre.
அணிவயலினில் வளைவளம் மருவிய மறைவனம் அமர்தரு பரமன் (ஏ)

with love born out of thinking of the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where the blemishless goddess of wealth seated in a flower dwells conspecuously.
மிகுகலை பலபயில் புலவர்கள் புகழ்வழிவளர்தரு இசை அமர் கழுமல நகர் இறை
the chief of the city of Kaḻumalam whose fame which is sung by poets who practise many superior arts is increasing day by day.
தமிழ் விரகனது உறை இயல் வல இசைமலி தமிழ் ஒருபதும் வலவர்
those who are able to recite all the ten Tamiḻ verses which are full of sweet sound and composed by the expert in Tamil who is also well versed in iyaltamiḻ.

will attain imposing appearance.
