{$} புவம் வளி, கனல், புனல், புவி, கலை உரைமறை திரிகுணம் அமர்நெறி, திவம்மலிசுரர் முதலியர், திகழ்தரும் உயிர் அவை அவை தமபவமலி தொழில்(அது) நினைவொடு பதுமநன்மலர் (அது) மருவியசிவனது சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
those who meditate upon civapuram of Civaṉ who is seated on a good lotus flower with the idea of endowing functions pertaining to their births, to the living beings which are eminent, the teVar, etc. who flourish in the heaven, the desirable paths, the three qualities of Cattuvam, rājācam and tāmoṭam, the vētams that deal with the flame of god, arts, the space, the air fire, water, earth.
செழுநிலனினில் நிலைவெறுவரே
will obtain a permanent life in the prosperous world.

{$} மலைபலவளர்தரு புவியிடை
in the earth where many mountains grow.
மறைதருவழிமலிமனிதர்கள்
man who follow faithfully the path laid down in the vētams.
நிலைமலிசுரர்முதல் உலகுகள் நிலைபெறுவகை நினைவொடு
with the intention of being permanent till the end of their span of life, in the heaven of the tēvar whose lives are longer, and other worlds.
மிகும் அலைமலி கடல் நடு அறிதுயில் அமர்அரிஉரு இயல் பரன்உறை பதி, சிலைமலிமதிள் சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
those who meditate upon civapuram which has a fortified wall constructed with stones and which is the dwelling place of the supreme Civaṉ who assumes the form, ari(Māl) who sleeps in the centre of the ocean which has raging and increasing waves, being conscious of the outer world

திருமகளொடு திகழ்வரே
will shine with wealth.

{$} பழுது இலகடல் புடை தழுவிய படி முதலிய உலகுகள்
the worlds beginning from this earth which is surrounded by the ocean and which is without any defect.
மலிகுழுவிய சுரர் பிறர் மனிதர்கள் குலம் மலிதரும் உயிர் அவை அவை
the tēvar of increasing groups, other human beings and other groups of living beings.
முழுவதும் அழிவகை நினைவொடுமுதல் உருஇயல் பரன் உறைபதி செழுமணி அணி சிவபுரம் நகர் தொழுமவர் புகழ்மிகும் உலகிலே
the fame of those people who worship with joined hands the city of civapuram made beautiful by big precious stones and which is the dwelling place of the supreme god who assumes the form of uruttiraṉ who is the cause for destroying them completely with that intention.

{$} நறைமலிதரும் அளறொடு
with the much fragrant sandalpaste.
முகை நகு மலர், புகை, மிகுவளர்ஒளி, நிறைபுனல் கொடுதனைநினைவொடு நியதமும் வழிபடும் அடியவர்
the devotees who daily worship him intentionally, with plenty of water, very bright lamps; incense, and blossomed flowers which have left the stage of buds.
குறைவு இலபதம் அணைதர அருள்குணம் உடை இறை உறைவனபதி
the beautiful city where the god dwells, who has the nature of granting higher states of existence which are without any wants.
சிறை புனல் அமர் சிவபுரம் (அது) நினைபவர் செயமகள் தலைவர்
and those who meditate upon civapuram which has water with dams, will be the Lord of the goddess of victory.

{$} சினம்மலி அறுபகை மிகுபொறி சிதை தருவகைவளி நிறுவிய
having retained and controlled the vital breath so as to destroy the evil acts of the five senses and six enemies, (the six emotions) beginning with excessive anger.
மனன் உணர்வொடும்
with the help of meditation
மலர்மிசை எழுதருபொருள் நியதமும் உணர்பவர்
those whose realise always the object that exists in the lotus flower in the fontanells which is said to have a thousand petals.
தனது எழில் உரு அதுகொடு அடைதகுபரன் உறைவது நகர் மதிள்கனம் மருவிய சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
and who meditate on civapuram on whose fortified walls clouds stay and which is the city where the supreme and great god who reaches them with his beautiful form.
கலைமகள் தரநிகழ்வர்/
will live as the goddess of learning grants knowledge.

{$} சுருதிகள் பல நலமுதல்கலை துகள் அறுவகை பயில்வொடு மிகு உருஇயல் உலகு அவை (1) புகழ்தர வழி ஒழுகும் மெய் உறுபொறி ஒழி (2) அருதவம் முயல்பவர்
those who undertake severe penance to destroy the senses that exist in the body and who conduct themselves in the proper way to be praised by the people of the worlds which have visible forms, and who have practice of chanting of vētams and many other good arts without any faults.
தனது அடி அடைவகை நினைபரன் உறைபதி திருவருள் சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
and those who meditate upon civapuram which grants the highest wealth of eternal bliss and which is the abode of the supreme Civaṉ who thinks of those people reaching his feet.

{$} கதம்மிகு கருஉருவொடு (1) உகிரிடை வடவரை கணகணஎன
the mountain, meru which is in the north to make a sound resembling gaṇa gaṇa' in its nail assuming a great form with excessive anger.

மதம்மிகுநெடுமுகன் அமர்வளைமதி திகழ்எயிறதன் நுதிமிசை இதம் அமர்புவி (அது) நிறுவிய எழில் அரி
beautiful ari (Māl) who fixed on a firm basis the earth in which many confortable things exist, on the tip of its tusk which is on the tall and very strong face, and which resembles in shape the crescent

வழிபட அருள்செய்த பதம் உடையவன் அமர் சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
those who meditate upon civapuram where Civaṉ granted the version of his feet when Māl worshipped him at this shrine.

with the strength got from the grace granted by Ayaṉ, as a result of having performed penance with great exhaustion

the abode of Civaṉ who put to use a single toe to break the crowns of Irāvaṇaṉ who set up his twenty hands to uproot the mountain, Kayilai where Civaṉ was seated.
திசைமலி சிவபுரம் நினைபவர் செழு நிலனில் நிகழ்வு உடையர்
those who meditate upon civapuram which is well-known in all the quarters, will live always in this fertile world.

{$} அடல்மலி படைஅரி அயனொடும் அறிவு அரியது ஓர் அழல் மலிதருசுடர் உருவொடு நிகழ்தர
when Civaṉ appeared in a brilliant form of five which could not be known by Ayaṉ, and ari (Māl) who has the strong weapon of a discus.
அவர் வெருவொடு துதிசெய எதிர் விடம் மலிகளம் நுதல் அமர்கண் அரு உடை உரு வெளிபடும் அவன் நகர் திடம் மலிபொழில் எழில்சிவபுரம் நினைபவர் வழிபுவி திகழுமே
the family of those who meditate upon beautiful civapuram which has strong gardens and which is the city of Civaṉ who taking pity on them became manifest with a form having a frontal eye and a neck where poison is full, when they both praised him with fear, will be eminent in this world.

{$} குணம் அறிவுகள் நிலையில; பொருள் உரை மருவிய பொருள்களும் இல தி(ண்)ணம் எனும் அவரொடு செதுமதிமிகு சமணரும் மலிதமதுகை உணல் உடையவரும் உணர்வருபரன் உறைபதி; உலகினில் நல கணம் மருவிய சிவபுரம் நினைபவர்
those who meditate on civapuram where good groups of devotees combine together in this world and which is the abode of the supreme god who could not be understood by the camaṇar who eat food in their hands who have minds of increasing evil ideas, and buddhists who assert that characters and knowledge are not permanent and the things in this world are also such.
எழில் உரு உடையவர்கள்
will have beautiful bodies.

{$} திகழ்சிவபுர நகர் மருவிய அவன் அடி இணைபணிசிரபுரநகர் இறை தமிழ்விரகனது உரை நலம் மலி ஒருபதும் நவில்பவர்
those who recite the ten beneficial verses which are the words of (campantaṉ) one proficient in tamiḻ, who is a native of the city of cirapuram, and who worships the feet of Civaṉ who dwells in the eminent city of civapuram.
நிகழ்குலம், நிலம், நிறைதிரு, உரு, நிகரில் கொடை, மிகுசயமகள், புகழ், புவிவளர்வழி, (1) அடிமையின் மிகை புணர்தரநலம் மிகுவர்
will excel in all virtues when their family continues without any break, they have landed property, wealth without any wants, beautiful body, liberality without any equal, superior goddess of victory, the fortune of being hereditary worshippers of god, all these joining them.
